Szomor Grey Cattle salami - with paprika, matured with Mangalica bacon – half piece
Grey Cattle 100% salami with paprika. The secret of their uniqueness is that in their handmade products everything comes from a clean, healthy environment, from the first grass grazed by the animals to the last grain of spice. This is how they can guarantee that you can taste the flavour of the excellent quality meat in the sausage, the salami and in all their other products.
Grey Cattle, as free-range animals, have always fed on pasture and hay harvested from there. Thanks to this, its meat and the products made from it reflect the richness and the special flavours and aromas of the grasses and flowers growing on the Hungarian plains. Its meat is very tasty and guaranteed to be BSE-free, i.e. free from mad cow disease. The animals grazing in the Hungarian national parks not only live in a chemical-free environment, but also on the richest possible natural food, and they do not consume any supplementary feed.
About the brand
The farm was established in 1989 in the area of the Kiskunság National Park, near Apaj. This is where they started their agricultural activities, which they began by converting the poor-quality arable land back to grassland. After this, they experimented with a new farming activity, which they still continue to this day. They seeded the area with their own produced grass seed. In 2010, they opened the meat processing plant, where they initially started processing Hungarian Grey Cattle, and within that, they made salami. However, by now, the product range has been expanded with buffalo and Mangalica products.
Uniqueness:
“At Szomor Farm – in cooperation with the national parks – we achieve the preservation of natural values by keeping rare breeds of farm animals in a near-wild state. Thanks to the Hungarian Grey Cattle, buffalo and Mangalica pigs that roam freely on the pastures of the plains for almost the entire year, preserving their genes, we can offer meat products that do not contain chemical residues or other harmful substances.” They make their products in a traditional, handmade way, preserving the balance between the world created by nature and man.
