The SanLucar orange has an intense flavour. They are sun-drenched and juicy, which is primarily due to the loving care of our master growers, such as Jorge and Javier Llusar. For example, they only use natural methods against harmful insects. Pheromone fragrances are placed in the trees every few metres to keep insects away from the sweet fruits. "It is very similar to the perfume that women use to seduce men" Every fruit is checked by hand before picking. This way, every orange gets exactly as much sunshine as it needs to become a fine SanLucar orange.They are free from bitter limonin and remain wonderfully sweet even after pressing.

The SanLucar orange comes primarily from Valencia in Spain during the winter months. In the summer and late summer months, it also comes from South Africa. Oranges contain a lot of vitamin C. A 200 g orange already covers the daily requirement of an adult. And they are not only delicious to snack on or drink, but together with cloves they also give off a pleasant fragrance.

Tip

You can stick toothpicks or skewers into the orange peel, stick cloves into the holes, and your home will have a wonderful and naturally fresh fragrance.

The orange originates from southwest China and has been known for over 4000 years. With the Portuguese discoveries, the sweet fruits also came to us in Europe. Today, the sweet orange is the most widely cultivated citrus fruit in the world.

Storage

It is best to store them in a cool place or in the refrigerator, because they quickly lose their flavour at room temperature. And avoid storing them together with apples, because they release ethylene.
