Where it all began
Free-spirited, ambitious minds, Peter and Matus. Together they decided they wanted to become the captains of their own lives.
They believed that people should decide for themselves which path they want to sail in life. They also believed that life should always be lived to the fullest, in complete harmony of body and mind.

How it started
During a holiday in the United States, the two friends discovered Kombucha tea, an ancient drink known as the elixir of immortality. They brought the Kombucha home and offered it to their friends and family. That's when they found out that 40 years ago, in Czechoslovakia, their grandparents had also brewed their own Kombucha at home.

Something started
Peter and Matus seized the perfect combination, their entrepreneurial spirit combined with their grandparents' legacy. So they started producing Kombucha tea, but it couldn't be just another kombucha... Their goal was to make THE Kombucha, the most perfect, most authentic one.

Where the magic happened
They moved to Portugal, where they managed to find the right conditions to make a quality, delicious Kombucha. These "Captain's Dreams" were just the beginning of the whole story. They want to inspire everyone to become the captain of their own lives, people who take control of their own lives, just like they did with their "The Gutsy Captain Company".
