Usage - Beetroot and apple chutney

Preparation time
25 minutes + 36 baking time.

Ingredients
For 4 servings:

• 1 large red onion
• 1 clove of garlic
• 200 g Alnatura beetroot
• 1 sour apple (e.g. Boskop)
• 2 tablespoons Alnatura olive oil
• 3 tablespoons Alnatura raw cane sugar
• 100 ml Alnatura Aceto Balsamico di Modena
• 1 teaspoon Alnatura sea salt

Preparation

1. Peel the onion and garlic and chop them finely. Cut the beetroot into very fine pieces. Peel the apple, core it and cut it into fine slices.
2. Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Sauté the onion and garlic in it for 2-3 minutes. Set aside the onion mixture and let the sugar caramelize in the pan for 5 minutes. Add the beetroot and fry for 3 minutes. Add the apple pieces, vinegar and salt, leave uncovered for 20 minutes, then simmer with the lid closed for 15 minutes.
3. Put the hot chutney in a clean jar and seal it. Let it cool and store in the refrigerator until ready to eat.
