If you notice wrinkles on the fruit, you can safely eat it, it will be much tastier this way!
Ripe, freshly picked fruits, flown in directly from Colombia!
Passion fruit is native to tropical America, but it is also a popular crop in many other tropical regions, a truly exotic fruit!
Its skin is thin and smooth, shiny and purple in color. The flesh is glassy white, firm, fleshy, juicy, with a weak taste and smell. The fruit cavity is filled with many black seeds, which are covered with a glassy seed coat and adhere to the seams of the inner wall of the fruit with short, wart-like stalks.
The pale yellow flesh is slightly sour, but a truly delicious delicacy!

After harvesting, passion fruit shrinks continuously. However, this is not a sign of spoilage, but of ripening. The fruit will become fuller and sweeter in taste this way.
Use
Carefully remove the outer skin and use only the yellowish flesh for consumption.
It is also consumed as a vegetable when steamed, or cooked with sugar and served as a dessert. It is often used as a flavoring in puddings, yogurts. It also goes perfectly with ice creams, pastries and fruit salads!

Store in a dry, cool place, between 10-12 °C. Passion fruit can usually be kept in the refrigerator for 2 weeks after purchase.
