 Broccoli is very rich in vitamins A, C, and K, but its folic acid, potassium, calcium, dietary fiber, and phosphorus content is also significant. Broccoli contains more than 30 antioxidant substances, including various indoles and bioflavonoids. Its most important active ingredient is considered to be the sulfur-containing compound called sulforaphane, which is also found in cauliflower and cabbage.
