Pine nuts are not only delicious, but also very valuable food. They are high in protein and dietary fiber, very rich in vitamins A, E, B1 and B2, nicotinamide, and some special structured polyunsaturated fatty acids. The most important of these is pinolenic acid, which plays an important role in preventing many diseases. Its effectiveness is significant mainly in preventing obesity and delaying the development of cardiovascular diseases.
