DAB is the embodiment of bottom-fermented, light golden-coloured, full-bodied lager-type beers. It is a harmoniously balanced, fresh and easy-to-drink beer, with appealing hop and malt notes. Beautifully rounded flavour with a silky smooth texture. DAB is the ambassador of the famous "Dortmund beer style", which is brewed in accordance with the German Beer Purity Law of 1516. Using only pure and natural ingredients, DAB is still made in Dortmund according to the original recipe.

DAB is one of Germany's iconic beers, a name that rings a bell almost everywhere in the world. The company's headquarters are in Dortmund, which has become Europe's largest beer-producing city. This is perhaps also due to the historical fact that in 1293 every free citizen of the Hanseatic city received royal approval to brew beer, and accordingly much more beer was produced in Dortmund than was needed locally. The flourishing brewing culture also created its own type of beer - the Dortmund beer, the largest and best-known brewer of which is DAB.

The company was founded in 1868. Of course, the world wars did not spare the brewery either, so it was rebuilt and modernised several times, but the most important thing, the top premium quality of DAB, remained unchanged. In 2012, the company chose an unusual way of renewing itself, and returned almost entirely to the original design and label.
