- Apple slices will not brown if you sprinkle them with vanilla sugar. Candied apples are a delicious treat on their own.
- Tips for making shortcrust pastry:
The basic recipe for classic shortcrust pastry: 500 g flour, 300 g butter and 200 g granulated sugar, to which 2 eggs must be added.
You can make the dough even finer if you replace one third of the granulated sugar with Haas Natural Vanilla Sugar, i.e. use about 70 g vanilla sugar and 130 g granulated sugar. - When making sponge cake, beat the egg into a stiff foam so that 20% of the required amount of sugar is replaced with Haas Natural Vanilla Sugar. Its effect is the same, but its taste will be more special.
