Green color and huge fresh leaves. High in vitamin C and B vitamins (B1, B2, B6), contains calcium, protein, potassium, phosphorus, and iron. Lettuce season lasts from March to June and peaks in May.

Led by Róbert Kovács, Jászvega Trend Kft. cultivates lettuce on several hectares of land in Jászfényszaru, both outdoors and in greenhouses. The freshly picked lettuces are produced from GMO-free seeds through the GLOBALG.A.P. farm assurance program.

Interesting fact

Regular consumption of green lettuce is healthy for your body as it contains a lot of vitamin C and B. It is often stored in vinegar and sugar water, but its use can be very varied.

Use

In its raw form, it is a perfect base for a salad to which you can safely add any other vegetables. If you would like to eat it cooked, lettuce stew is also a tasty solution.

Storage

Store in a dry, cool place between 5-10 °C.
