Also known as celery stalk, red celery, English celery and blanched or bleaching celery. It is characterized by high water content and low calories. It is perhaps the tastiest raw, very fresh and crisp vegetable. 

Interesting fact

Celery stalk contains a lot of aroma and flavor, which makes it an excellent, distinctive (sweetly tart) spice. Its high fiber content aids digestion. It is rich in vitamin K and B vitamins.

Use

Can be used raw in salads. It flavors stews, sauces, meat and egg dishes well, but it can also play an important role in diet catering. It reduces blood sugar levels.

Storage

Store in a dry, cool place between 0-4 °C.
