About the brand

We, the Cappy team, have been squeezing the most out of fruits for over 60 years. The fruits of our labour are delicious, nutritious and high-quality fruit juices, nectars and fruit drinks.

On 13 May 1940, anticipating the imminent German invasion of Belgium, Carl West, Coca-Cola's manager in Belgium, suggested to his staff that they escape to England with their equipment and sugar stocks. However, their long and dramatic journey was in vain, as they were forced to turn back to Belgium on the shores of the English Channel. To their surprise, they found the plant intact upon their return.

Despite the war, life went on. Since it was impossible to obtain the famous Coca-Cola concentrate from the United States, Carl West developed an orange-flavoured drink, which he named Cappy. The Belgians immediately took the drink to their hearts, and it later became one of The Coca-Cola Company's most popular brands.
