Schweppes Indian Tonic - Carbonated soft drink with reduced sugar content, tonic flavour, with sugar and sweeteners. Contains quinine.
Product information
Schweppes Tonic is a legendary premium carbonated soft drink for sophisticated adults, made according to Jacob Schweppe's original 1870 recipe. Its characteristic bittersweet taste is due to the quinine it contains, and other 100% natural flavours. Due to its long-lasting bubbles and intense taste experience, it is an excellent refreshment on its own, but it also goes well with cocktails.
Producer information
The original Schweppes recipe was invented in Switzerland in 1783. This was when the process of producing carbonated water was first put into practice. After the invention of the drink, the Schweppes Company was founded, but later moved to London, where it soon supplied its drink to the royal palace. It was the official drink of the 1851 London World's Fair, which is why the fountain in the Crystal Palace has become part of the Schweppes logo.
