Product information

Paco yellow peas are peeled, half peas. They come in yellow and green varieties. They are not only high in protein, B vitamins and fibre, but also almost completely fat-free. They lower cholesterol levels, stabilise blood sugar, and their isoflavone content may prevent cancer. They disintegrate quickly during cooking. They are mostly used to make soups and stews.

The company started as a family business in Újfehértó in 1993, when its main profile was the packaging and distribution of dry legumes. They still buy yellow peas, sunflower seeds and walnuts from domestic producers. However, they now also have numerous suppliers outside Europe. With their domestically processed products, they are conquering not only the Hungarian but also the foreign market. This excellence has been recognised on several forums, which they are proud of: their Hungarian Product and Product of the Year award-winning Wellnut branded products, corn extrudates and confectionery filling products are equally successful. Meeting the requirements of large systems has paved the way for PACO branded products to be found on the shelves of every major retail chain today, in addition to smaller stores. Their development focuses on the market for functional foods and superfoods.
