Beef bone is a meat cut that is rich in meat and collagen, making it an ideal ingredient for soups, broths, stews, and other dishes that require long cooking times. The meat around the bones is juicy and flavorful, and during cooking, the collagen, fats, and minerals in them dissolve, giving the dish a rich, savory base.
Beef bone is especially popular in traditional meat soups, such as beef broth or the base for stews. The meaty bone becomes truly mouthwatering during slow cooking, as all the valuable nutrients from the meat and bones are dissolved, giving the dish a rich, deep flavor.
Beef bone is an ideal choice for housewives making broth, as it can provide a good broth base that can be used for various dishes, such as soups, risottos, or even ragouts.
Beef bone soup recipe:
Ingredients:
- 500 g beef bone
- 2 medium onions
- 2 carrots
- 2 parsley roots
- 1 celery
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 2 bay leaves
- Salt, pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon of black pepper
- 3 liters of water
Preparation:
- Put the beef bones in a large pot and pour the water over them.
- Bring to a boil, then remove the foam that comes to the top after boiling. This helps to make the soup clear and transparent.
- Peel the onion and garlic and add them to the soup whole.
- Peel the carrots, parsley roots, and celery and add them to the soup. If you wish, you can also cut them into larger pieces.
- Add the bay leaf, pepper, and salt to taste.
- Simmer the soup over low heat for 2-3 hours, so that the meat and bones fully release their flavor and the broth becomes rich and deep in flavor.
- When done, strain the soup and serve with fresh parsley or soup dumplings, such as pasta or noodles.
This recipe provides a great base for a delicious beef soup, which is truly a special meal with the rich flavor of the meaty bones. Other dishes made from the broth are also mouthwatering, so it is worth using this rich, nutritious soup as a base.
