Ingredients
- 2 pcs avocado
- 1/2 pc lime
- 1 clove garlic
- 1/2 pc jalapeño pepper
- 1 pc shallot
- 1 pc tomato
- 1 pinch ground black pepper
- 1 pinch salt
Preparation
- 1Cut the avocados around the pit, then twist to separate the halves. Remove the pit, scoop out the flesh from the skin into a bowl.
- 2Squeeze the lime juice over the avocado to preserve its vibrant color. Add the crushed garlic, then mash the mixture with a fork to a rustic or creamy consistency, as desired.
- 3Halve the jalapeño pepper, remove the seeds, and finely chop it. Dice the shallot and tomato (also removing its core and seeds) into small cubes. Mix the vegetables with the avocado, then season with salt and freshly ground pepper.
Tip
If you don't like spicy food, you can substitute the jalapeño pepper with bell pepper.
Guacamole is best when it rests in the refrigerator for 30 minutes before serving, allowing the flavors to meld.
