Ingredients

  • 170 g cheddar cheese
  • 160 g almonds
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tsp dried basil
  • 2 pinches salt
  • 90 g tomato paste
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 4 slices ham
  • 1 pinch black pepper

Instructions

    Grate the cheddar cheese coarsely, and grind the almonds into fine flour. Mix the grated cheese, almond flour, 2 eggs, a pinch of salt, and one teaspoon of basil. Place the resulting dough in the freezer to rest for 30 minutes.

    After resting, roll out the dough between two sheets of baking paper into a thin disc. Place it in an oven preheated to 180°C and pre-bake for 15 minutes.

    Meanwhile, prepare the sauce: mix the tomato paste with water, the remaining basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Spread the sauce over the pre-baked dough base, place the ham slices on top, and crack an egg in the middle. Bake for another 15 minutes, until the edges are golden brown.
