The secret of their uniqueness is that everything in their handmade products, from the first blade of grass grazed by the animals to the last grain of spice, comes from a clean, healthy environment. They graze on medicinal and spice plants in the pastures of the Kiskunság National Park. This is how they can guarantee that the flavour of the excellent quality meat can be experienced in all of their products. Grey cattle, as free-range animals, have always fed only on pasture, and in the winter months they eat hay made from medicinal and spice plants harvested from there. Thanks to this, its meat and the products made from it reflect the richness and special aroma and flavour of the grasses and flowers of the Hungarian puszta. Its meat is very tasty and tender. Guaranteed to be BSE-free, i.e. free of mad cow disease. Hungarian grey cattle is the only cattle breed in the world that is immune to all cattle diseases! The animals grazing in the Hungarian National Parks live not only in a chemical-free environment, but also on the richest possible natural food, and do not consume any supplementary feed. The National Park is classified as a "Natura 2000" area.

About the brand

The farm was established in 1989 in the area of the Kiskunság National Park, around Apaj. They started their agricultural activity here, which they began by restoring the poor quality arable land to grassland. After that, they experimented with a new farming activity, which they still continue to this day. They seeded the area with their own produced grass seed. In 2010, they opened the meat processing plant, where they initially started processing Hungarian grey cattle, including making salami. By now, however, the product range has been expanded to include buffalo and Mangalica products.

Uniqueness:
"At Szomor Farm - in cooperation with the national parks - we achieve the preservation of natural values by keeping rare breeds of farm animals almost in the wild. Thanks to the Hungarian grey cattle, buffalo and Mangalica pigs, which roam freely on the puszta pastures for almost the whole year, serving the purpose of gene preservation, we offer meat products that do not contain chemical residues or other harmful substances." They make their products in a traditional, artisanal way, preserving the balance between the natural and man-made worlds.
