László Bányai and Sándor Tóth's farm is located 15 km from Volcán Poás and 25 km southwest of Volcán Congo, on the southern side of the Lourdes Valley, in the heart of Costa Rica. The area, which lies in three arcs, is thus divided into five slopes, each of which is exposed to the sun differently, which shines into the valley from the early morning hours. The prevailing wind direction is east-west and the constantly moving fresh air practically prevents the humid air from getting stuck, so the diseases that threaten coffee do not endanger the good harvest. In addition to Sándor Tóth, who runs the farm, an excellent team of Hungarian agricultural and biological experts ensures that the crop is excellent in every respect. The green coffee is roasted in Hungary, in the Szekszárd roasting plant. We harvested this coffee in January 2023, then processed it with a carefully planned fermentation process before it was placed on the drying beds. As in previous years, we recommend that before making an espresso from it, try it on a filter as well. Sip it slowly, until the hot drink becomes pleasantly lukewarm and immerse yourself in the spicy and fruity flavors of Memelada.
