Recipe
1. CUT THE ZUCCHINI INTO SLICES
Wash the zucchini thoroughly and then drain the excess water using kitchen paper towels. Do not peel! Cut the zucchini lengthwise into medium-thick slices using a vegetable peeler. Alternatively, the prepared slices can be seasoned with salt and then set aside to release the juice (if this happens, squeeze the excess moisture out of the zucchini again with paper towels).
2. FRY THE ZUCCHINI IN A PAN
Fry the prepared zucchini in a heated grill pan until lightly golden brown. Do this over a low heat, otherwise the vegetable will brown too much and this vegetarian dish will have a slightly bitter taste.
3. BAKE THE GARDEN GOURMET VEGETABLE PATTIES
While the zucchini is frying, bake the Garden Gourmet vegetable patties according to the package instructions. Do this in a heated pan with a tablespoon of oil, turning occasionally. Alternatively, the veggie balls can also be cooked in the oven by baking them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, which takes the same amount of time.
4. WRAP THE ZUCCHINI AROUND THE GARDEN GOURMET VEGETABLE PATTIES
Set the baked Garden Gourmet vegetable patties aside for a while and let them cool down a bit. Then wrap the grilled zucchini slices around them. Secure each veggie ball with a toothpick to prevent the zucchini from slipping off. The vegetarian recipe is ready – you can enjoy its taste. Serve warm immediately or put it in a lunch box and take it with you.
5. SERVE WITH SALAD OR OTHER SNACKS
The Garden Gourmet vegetable patties with zucchini go perfectly with a delicious spring salad. In this form, even the fussiest children will be happy to eat the veggie balls.
