Our favourite pink elephant has broken into the orchard, and to our great delight, he returned from there with a special surprise. During the production of Delirium Red, the fresh brew of the world-famous Delirium Tremens is mixed with natural cherry juice, then aged for months on cherry pits, as a result of which the original, distinctive flavour of the beer and the delicate fruit flavour merge into a special, refreshing harmony. Producer information

Brewing has been a centuries-old tradition on the site of Appelhoek in Melle, with the earliest evidence of this dating back to 1654. In 1904, Léon Huyghe started working at the local brewery. In 1925, his son Albert and son-in-law Louis Droesbeque joined him, and the brewery was officially renamed Brewery L. Huyghe. Today, Alain De Laet, the fourth Huyghe generation, stirs the brewing kettles. The little elephant, born in 1989, has grown into an international icon.

Their beers are gifts from nature to man. It is their moral duty not only to be grateful, but also to think and act sustainably, to do business with the greatest possible care for people and the environment. By embracing the green approach, they are building a rosy future for Huyghe Brewery.
