With Bernard Gluten-Free Lager, people with celiac disease, gluten intolerance, or those on a special gluten-free diet do not have to give up the real taste of beer. Brewed from excellent Czech ingredients, the rich, balanced bitterness and fine hop aromas unfold beneath the beer's compact foam.

Producer information

The Bernard brewery in Humpolec, Czech Republic, was founded in 1991 by three private individuals. They bought the originally dilapidated 16th-century brewery at an auction and, after renovation, quickly made it one of the best-known premium brands in the Czech Republic.

The brewery's master brewers still adhere to their traditions today, which is why the unpasteurized, full-bodied beers they produce can almost be considered craft beers. Following fermentation in their own cellars, the beers are matured for several weeks at a temperature of around 1-2°C, in keeping with tradition. The filtration process is carried out at 2°C using special microbiological filters, so that the wort retains its original aroma and flavour in addition to its healthy nutrients.
