Varga Merlot Sweet

The most positive connotation of the word "sweet" in human physical and mental life is. "Sweet" is the mother, the kiss and if we live wisely, then life too. Most of the famous historical wine varieties are also sweet, not only in the sense that they are dear to our hearts, but also sensually. The Merlot grape produces a deep red, mild acid, warm sweet wine at the Varga Winery. Taste it and make the moment sweet!

We hereby inform you that the bottle deposit of 0.75l and 1.5l returnable products manufactured and distributed by Varga Pincészet Kft will change from 01.06.2022 as follows: 

• 0.75l Varga Bottle: from HUF 99 to HUF 150
• 1.5l House Wine Bottle from HUF 127 to HUF 180

Serving suggestion

We recommend consuming it at 16-18°C.

Producer information

Péter Varga started working in the Badacsonyörs winery with his wife and parents on January 4, 1993. Today he works with his two sons and hopes that they will later continue the winery with his grandchildren. Over the past 20 years, Hungarian viticulture has been fundamentally renewed professionally and technologically, and the quality of wines has reached Western European standards. In parallel with this, the demands of consumers have also developed and changed a lot. Today, people drink less and less, but rather taste wines; they are looking for the interesting and the special. They no longer drink only the wines of nearby wine regions, but are able to get acquainted with the wine selection of the country, Europe and even the whole world. Therefore, it is not enough to make beautiful, balanced wines, we need wines that leave a mark on the consumer, that they will remember and will choose again from the thousands of items on offer.
