Alnatura Organic Brazil Nuts

Brazil nuts are native to the tropical rainforests of South America. The oily, light-coloured kernels taste good on their own, for example as a snack on the go, but their sweet, slightly earthy flavour also goes well in mueslis, baked goods and desserts. Alnatura Brazil nuts come from organic farming.

Use - Roasted Muesli

Ingredients
For 20 portions:

• 50 g cashew nuts
• 50 g Alnatura Organic Brazil Nuts
• 70 g dried cranberries
• 150 g jumbo rolled oats
• 150 g Alnatura Organic Spelt Flakes
• 100 g Alnatura Organic Bircher Muesli
• 1 tablespoon flaxseed (10 g)
• 40 g desiccated coconut
• 1 teaspoon ground vanilla (3 g)
• 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (5 g)
• 100 g coconut blossom syrup
• 2 tablespoons Alnatura Organic Virgin Coconut Oil (20 ml)
• 100 g Alnatura Organic Crispy Spelt Muesli

Preparation

1. Finely chop the cashew nuts, Brazil nuts and cranberries. Heat a non-stick pan and toast the rolled oats, spelt flakes, Bircher Muesli, cashew nuts, Brazil nuts, flaxseed and desiccated coconut over a medium heat for about 10 minutes. Add the vanilla, cinnamon, cranberries, coconut blossom syrup and coconut oil and heat for a further 2-3 minutes.
2. Allow the muesli to cool. Spread the muesli on a baking tray lined with baking paper and leave to cool for about 30 minutes. Stir in the crispy spelt muesli. The roasted muesli will keep for about 3 weeks in an airtight preserving jar.

Tip

Enjoy the muesli on its own, with milk and milk alternatives, fruit juice or yoghurt.
