Alnatura Organic Unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar
Organic, unfiltered apple cider vinegar is rich in antioxidants, bioactive substances, dietary fiber, trace elements, minerals and vitamins! The dietary fiber found in organic, unfiltered apple cider vinegar helps to remove fats and cholesterol. It helps to detoxify the liver, promoting weight loss.
Use - vegan carrot cake
Preparation time: 20 minutes + 50 minutes baking time + 2 hours cooling time
Ingredients for 1 13 x 23 cm baking tray (10 slices)
- 400 g carrots + 4 small carrots with greens for decoration
- 110 g Alnatura natural coconut oil + 1 tablespoon for the dish
- 300 g Alnatura 1050 type wheat flour
- 100 g Alnatura oatmeal
- 140 g Alnatura whole cane sugar
- 120 g Alnatura apple puree
- ¼ teaspoon Alnatura ground ginger
- 2 teaspoons Alnatura Ceylon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon Alnatura Bourbon vanilla ground
- 2 teaspoons Alnatura baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon Alnatura apple cider vinegar
- 240 ml Alnatura almond milk unsweetened
- 75 g Alnatura 24/7 Organic unsalted pistachios
- 100 g Alnatura Frischecreme Natur (vegan cream cheese alternative)
- 40 g Alnatura powdered sugar
- 1 drop Alnatura lemon juice
Preparation
- Prepare the carrots and coconut oil: preheat the oven to 180 °C top/bottom heat. Peel the carrots and grate finely. Melt the coconut oil in a small saucepan on the stove over low heat.
- Mix the dough and bake: put the grated carrots, coconut oil, flour, oatmeal, sugar, apple puree, spices, baking powder, baking soda, vinegar and almond milk in a large bowl and mix well with a wooden spoon. Spread out the baking tray or line it with baking paper, pour in the dough and bake for 40-50 minutes. Test the cake before the end of the baking time: prick the cake with a wooden stick. If the dough does not stick to the stick, the cake is done.
- Make the frosting and decorate the cake: let the cake cool completely. In the meantime, remove the pistachios from the shell and chop coarsely. Peel the carrots, shorten the greens, cut the carrots in half, use the lower half for something else. For the frosting, mix the fresh cream, powdered sugar and lemon juice in a bowl with a hand mixer. Spread on the cake and decorate with pistachios and carrot halves.
Tip
The carrot decoration shows what's in the cake and is a fresh snack at the same time.
