Chia is a South and Central American plant that was cultivated 5,000 years ago. Its seeds are rich in omega-3 fatty acids and high in fiber. Chia seeds have little of their own flavor, so they can be used in many ways and flavored: in muesli, baked goods, and drinks. Alnatura chia seeds come from organic farming and are vegan.

Use - Vanilla chia pudding with strawberry sauce, cashew nuts, and goji berries

Preparation time
15 minutes + 2 hours cooling time

Ingredients
For 4 servings

• 60 g black chia seeds
• 240 ml vanilla soy milk
• 150 g strawberries (frozen)
• 1 tablespoon cashew nuts (10 g)
• 1 tablespoon dried goji berries (20 g)

Preparation

• Mix the chia seeds and soy milk in a tall mixing bowl with a whisk and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Stir while cooling. After the cooling time, the chia seeds should have largely absorbed the soy milk and formed a mushy mass.
• In the meantime, let the strawberries thaw at room temperature, puree them, and put them in four (or 8 small) dessert glasses. Carefully pour the chia pudding onto the strawberry puree. Chop the cashew nuts coarsely to taste and sprinkle with goji berries on top. Refrigerate until consumption.

Tip
If you don't like the texture of chia pudding with the jelly and seeds, simply puree the pudding.
