Kistelek cheese has a history of more than forty-five years, when cheese production began in the plant, as a unit of the Csongrád County Dairy Company. In 1994, the plant became privately owned, taking the name Kisteleki M+M Sajtgyártó Kft. The 100% Hungarian-owned factory, employing nearly 70 people, uses exclusively Hungarian raw materials. The plant operates as a stable and modern medium-sized enterprise, adding innovative efforts to existing traditions. The company's motto is continuous development and commitment to quality.
