Thomas Melio had been thinking about making a healthy snack for a long time. At home, during sports and on his travels, this was what occupied his mind. Initially, he thought about fruit bread, but inspiring visits to the USA and Australia opened his eyes. This is where the idea was born to produce healthy energy bars.

He began to make his dream a reality, his vision being to produce healthy fruit bars from purely natural ingredients that would not only provide a quick source of energy during increased activity, but would also provide the body with the necessary vitamins, minerals and fibre. He decided to approach the task with the best quality ingredients and the greatest possible care, so that the fruit bars would be full of useful ingredients and yet still be tasty. 

It took two years to put together their tasty recipes and make the first fruit bars. By the spring of 2014, Bombus entered the market with 6 different fruit bars under the Bombus brand name.

Bombus healthy energy bars are made from a few, high-quality ingredients. They contain no added sugar, preservatives, are gluten-free and lactose-free. Their fruit bars are not heat-treated, so they retain their original properties. Bombus provides a quick and healthy source of energy for all those who live an active life, as well as for those on a special or alternative diet. Their products are suitable for vegans, vegetarians and coeliacs.
