Kotányi Mexico Taco Seasoning Mix
Flavours of the world: With the ready-made taco seasoning mix, you can take a culinary journey into the world of traditional Mexican flavours. Naturally - without flavour enhancers - preservatives - colourings.
Suggested use
Mexican taco for 3-4 people
- 10 pieces of corn tortillas,
- 600 g beef sirloin without fat,
- 1 large red onion,
- 200 g red kidney beans (cooked),
- 1 red bell pepper,
- 1 pack of Kotányi Taco seasoning mix,
- 50 ml vegetable broth,
- a little corn germ oil,
- romaine or iceberg lettuce
For guacamole:
- 3 ripe avocados,
- 1 lime,
- 1 large red onion,
- 2 cloves of garlic,
- 1 tsp of Kotányi ground chili,
- salt and pepper to taste
Preparation:
For the guacamole, finely chop the red onion and garlic and put them in a bowl. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit and scoop the flesh out of the skin. Mash with a fork, mix with the chopped red onion and garlic until creamy. Add the lime juice, ground chili, salt, pepper and mix well again. Cut the sirloin into 4 cm strips and season with the Kotányi Taco seasoning mix, mix with 4 tablespoons of corn germ oil and let it marinate for 15 minutes. Fry in a pan over medium heat, then remove. Dice the red onion and bell pepper and sauté in a little oil. Add the meat and kidney beans, sauté again, pour in the vegetable broth, then remove from the heat. Heat both sides of the tortillas in a hot pan. Spread guacamole in the middle, place a little salad on top, then the meat filling, finally fold the tortillas.
Tip: You can also use poultry instead of beef. The guacamole will be even creamier with a little cream.
