Gábor Kauser and Gábor Ellenrieder opened their bakery in the 1st district in December 2017, the idea for which came during a trip to Paris, that a place similar to the local boulangeries (bakery) and pâtisseries (confectionery) should be opened in Budapest as well. When the store opened, pastry chef Stephane Gerphagnon helped them a lot in developing the recipes, and the small Mészáros utca bakery based on French tradition quickly became a favorite of the people of Buda.

In the artisan bakery, sourdough breads, baguettes, pastries and French pastries are produced every day by two bakers and a confectioner. They work with good quality Hungarian and French ingredients, and all their products are made on site. It is also a show bakery, so anyone can follow the work of the confectioner and the bakers through a glass wall. Out of their 30-35 bread recipes, they bake 4 different types every day. Semi-brown and baguette are among the permanent offers, while the others are in constant rotation, and the variety is not only evident in the breads, but we can always count on something new in terms of bakery and confectionery products as well.
