Producer information

Some of the raw materials are only found in Karlovy Vary, the larger part arrives at the Becherovka plant from all over the world. The recipe is secret, there are always only two people who know the recipe, they mix the mixture once a week and then start cooking. The finished drink matures in oak barrels for 2-3 months, then the contents of the barrels are mixed so that Becherovka always gets into the bottles with the same taste. It has been filled into the characteristic flat bottle since the middle of the 19th century, the shape of the bottle has been constant ever since, the label is refreshed regularly. It is characterized by a golden color, the scent of spices (cloves, cinnamon and orange), and its taste is characterized by the bitter sweetness of cinnamon and cloves.
