Interesting fact 

Radishes were known and cultivated even in ancient times. It is slightly spicy, due to its mustard oil content.
It owes its good reputation mostly to its commonly known rich vitamin C content. Its most important active ingredients are the sulphur-containing essential oils, mustard oil glycoside, raphanol, and the truly abundant vitamin C. Its essential oils stimulate the production and emptying of bile, and in case of liver or gallbladder inflammation, it speeds up recovery.

Use

We consume it raw. It can be eaten on its own with a little salt, or enriching the most diverse salads with it, served with meat, or as an appetiser with cheese. It also beautifully decorates the Easter ham and egg platter.
