Producer information

The Thummerer family business has been involved in viticulture and winemaking since 1984. Our wines, sparkling wines and pálinkas are made from the produce of our 100 hectares of our own vineyards in the Eger Wine Region.
The winery is located in Noszvaj, 12 km from Eger.
The 2000 m2 former manor house cellar was hand-carved into the volcanic tuff rock more than 100 years ago, and in 2004 it was extended with a new 2200 m2 cellar system carved into the tuff rock.

The winery's awards:

• The founder of the winery, Vilmos Thummerer. Member of the Hungarian Wine Academy and the Pannon Wine Guild, which brings together Hungary's leading winemakers.
• In 1995 he was awarded the title of "Winemaker of the Year".
• The winery was awarded the "Winery of the Year 2011" award.
• The Thummerer Winery was "HUNGARY'S MOST SUCCESSFUL WINERY" in 2013 and 2017.
• The winery won the "MOST SUCCESSFUL FAMILY WINERY" award in 1994 and 1996.
• In 2018, the winery was awarded the HUNGARIAN GOLD CROSS OF MERIT.
• Later major awards: Eger Winegrower of the Year, Eger Winemaker of the Year. Their wines have won prestigious awards at both domestic and international wine competitions.

Storage

Store at 10-15 degrees, in a dark place, out of reach of children, consume within 1-2 days of opening.
