Feijoa, Guava yellow

Ripe, freshly picked fruits, flown in directly from Colombia!

This tropical fruit is grown in South Africa, South America, Mexico, India and some Mediterranean countries.
Its soft, waxy skin is yellow in colour, and inside there is a pulpy flesh with seeds, the flavour of which is similar to that of figs and quinces.

Uses 

You can eat it after washing it, just like an apple, or you can make a puree from it, which you can serve as a dessert with seeds, oats and other fruits. 
Be sure to eat it when the outside is still soft, because it can quickly spoil when it is soft. 
As a general rule, any quince recipe can also be used for guava. 

Storage

Store in a dry, cool place, between 10-12 °C.
