Pita or pitta (British English) is a family of yeast-leavened flatbreads baked from wheat flour that is common in the Mediterranean and Middle East. It includes the widely known version with an interior "pocket" also known as Arabic or Syrian bread, as well as pocketless versions like the Greek pita used to wrap souvlaki. The Western name pita is sometimes applied to various other types of flatbreads.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place away from light. Once opened, store in the refrigerator for a maximum of 3 days.
