Cut the bread roll into smaller cubes, place them in a bowl, and pour milk over them. Let them soak for a short while until well absorbed.
Peel and crush the garlic, finely chop the red onion. Place the well-chilled minced pork and beef into a large bowl. Add salt, freshly ground pepper, garlic, red onion, marjoram, and finally the milk-soaked bread roll. Knead the mixture thoroughly.
With wet hands, form medium-sized balls or patties from the meat mixture, then roll them in breadcrumbs. Gently press the breadcrumbs onto the meat.
