- 400 g minced pork
- 400 g minced beef
- 260 g red onion
- 300 ml milk
- 6 cloves garlic
- 3 pcs bread rolls
- 2 pcs eggs
- ½ teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon dried marjoram
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 20 g salt
Steps
- 1Preheat the oven to 160 °C. Pour water into a baking tray to a height of approximately 2 cm.
- 2Cut the bread rolls into 1 cm cubes, place them in a bowl, and pour milk over them to soften. Finely chop the red onion, and peel and crush the garlic.
- 3Place the minced meats in a large bowl, add the soaked bread rolls, onion, garlic, and all other spices. Knead the mixture thoroughly. With wet hands, form it into a large loaf, smooth its surface, brush with water, then place it in the baking tray.
- 4Place the baking tray in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 1 hour. During baking, baste the meat with its own juices. After one hour, turn off the oven and let the meatloaf rest inside for another 15 minutes.
- 5Finally, slice the meatloaf, drizzle with its juices, and serve with potatoes or creamy mashed potatoes.
