Horváth Rozi Citric Acid
Citric acid helps to preserve the color of freshly picked apples and pears, and is recommended for use in preserves. May contain traces of gluten-containing cereals, eggs, milk (lactose), celery, soy and sesame seeds.

Ingredients:
- 1.5 kg quince
- 30 dkg sugar
- 1 liter water
- 1 tsp Horváth Rozi citric acid
- half tsp salt
- 1 vanilla bean
Preparation:
- Mix the water and citric acid in a saucepan.
- Peel the quince, quarter it and remove the core.
- Cut the fruit into 2 x 2 cm cubes and place them immediately in the citric acid water, so that they do not brown during cooking.
- Add the sugar, the split and scraped vanilla bean and salt.
- Cook the quince over a very low heat for 1 hour until soft.
- Pour into hot, sterilized jars, seal tightly and leave to stand in a dry place.
