Tagliatelle pasta originates from the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy, particularly the cities of Bologna and Ferrara. The pasta is said to have been invented in the 15th century by a chef named Zefirano, who worked in the court of the Duke of Ferrara. Legend has it that Zefirano was inspired by the beauty of the Duke's wife, Lucrezia Borgia, and created the long, flat pasta to resemble her golden hair.

Cooking instructions

Ingredients:

• 106 g pasta
• 1 l water
• 10 g salt

Preparation:

•  Add the pasta to salted, boiling water, stirring occasionally.
• Cook for the recommended time, which is up to 6 minutes for perfect (al dente) taste.
• Serve after a simple drain with olive oil. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese for a light and healthy meal. Or, for a more substantial meal, serve with a meat sauce of your choice.
