Jose Cuervo tequila has been produced by Casa Cuervo for over 250 years with the same expertise and recipes. Legend has it that the first ever Margarita was made with Jose Cuervo tequila. The story of the world's oldest tequila brand began in 1795, when the King of Spain granted Jose Antonio de Cuervo permission to produce and commercially distribute tequila. This permission marked the birth of tequila.
