A few years ago, programmers from the Californian tech stronghold, or more precisely their friends working in coffee shops, mixed the Latin American cortado with the then star of the healthy drink mania, the “milk alternative” made from soaked almonds. Super delicious – they said, a super milk coffee alternative. And it really is!

Their new Dolce Gusto compatible milk coffee capsules are now available on the shelves of their coffee shops, and they are debuting in perhaps their most beautiful packaging yet, in five special flavours. In addition to the flavoured ground coffee, powdered milk is also added to the capsule, so their exotic milk coffees can be made with the press of a single button.

Cafe Frei was founded by two friends: the novelist Tamás Frei, a former TV globetrotter who has visited more than 150 countries in recent decades and is a passionate lover of coffee and the world associated with it; and Tamás Langár, an economist and food industry entrepreneur who helps run the network from a business perspective with more than 30 years of experience.

The first CAFE FREI coffee shop opened in Hungary in April 2007, and their coffee shop franchise network has been expanding ever since. They have now grown into the country's largest coffee shop chain. Thanks to their unique franchise system, 2013 brought them an international breakthrough when they opened their first coffee shops in Central Europe. Since then, they have been operating coffee shops from France to Dubai. Among other things, they are also present in countries as exotic as Saudi Arabia.
