O'HARA'S Nitro Irish Red

In recent years, Irish consumers have rediscovered the sweet malty beer style, in which caramel malt dominates, complemented by nutty flavors. This Irish Red is the complete opposite of the Belgian Red Ale style, in which the sour character predominates. The malt body is as impressive as a bock, albeit in a uniquely Irish way. The incredibly smooth malt body is complemented by caramel shades, and with perfectly balanced bitterness, this Irish red is much more complex than its mainstream rivals.

After pouring, the dark red beer is crowned with a long-lasting creamy white foam. The roasted malt aroma spreads immediately and remains in our mouths for a long time. The added Mt. Hood hops clearly reveal fruity, almost herbal flavors. In its aftertaste, the pinch of roasted barley added during brewing gives a characteristic aroma and balanced medium-crisp bitterness, which ends with caramel notes.

Serving suggestion

It goes well with main courses prepared in the oven, such as beef hotpot, or with winter soups. It is also a delicious accompaniment to mature cheddar or soft goat cheeses. We recommend consuming it at 6-8°C.

Producer information

Irish brewing has a long history, as Porter beer was brewed as early as the 1700s. By the 18th century, most commercial centers had their own brewery, with different regions brewing different types. Irish brewing has slowly declined over the past 200 years, mainly due to the emergence of international companies. Meanwhile, the revival of craft beers began in England and America in the 1980s. In the early 1990s, the O'Hara family decided with beer-loving entrepreneurs that it was important to join them so that excellent Irish beer could be made again.
