Perhaps the world's most popular orange liqueur, Cointreau's special flavour comes from the maceration of the greenish-bronze bigarade bitter orange peel, and the drying, then distilling and spicing of the normal orange peel. Additional ingredients such as alcohol, sugar and water give the drink a creamy roundness and strength.

Cointreau contains a good balance of bitter and sweet, intense and gentle, and warming and refreshing effects.
