This is the hit recipe of Cafe Frei coffee shops in American coffee kitchens. Vanilla-flavored coffees are made in Miami with cinnamon and nutmeg so that the drink is not cloyingly sweet. Originally, this recipe was a favorite of the Argentine and Brazilian elite who wintered in Miami Beach, but now Americans also love it. The only thing they changed was that they do not pour the vanilla into the coffee afterwards, but apply it to the coffee beans during roasting for a much cleaner taste.

Cafe Frei was founded by two friends: novelist Tamás Frei, a former world traveler on television, who has visited more than 150 countries in recent decades and loves coffee and the world associated with it; and Tamás Langár, an economist and food industry entrepreneur, who helps run the network on the business side with more than 30 years of experience.

The first CAFE FREI coffee shop opened in Hungary in April 2007, and their coffee shop franchise network has been growing ever since. Today, they have grown into the country's largest coffee shop chain. Thanks to their unique franchise system, 2013 brought them an international breakthrough when they opened their first coffee shops in Central Europe. Since then, they have been operating coffee shops from France to Dubai. Among other things, even in such exotic countries as Saudi Arabia.
