Kikkoman Soy Sauce

Kikkoman - the naturally brewed soy sauce! Ideal for preparing culinary dishes, or as a table-top seasoning. It can perfectly replace salt. You can use Kikkoman soy sauce to flavour sauces, prepare dips, dressings, and for marinating. It gives a special flavour to meat, fish, and vegetable dishes. It is also suitable for preparing Asian and European dishes.

Product information

Kikkoman Soy Sauce became known as a spice in Japan, and has been used for centuries to flavour dishes. Kikkoman Soy Sauce is made and brewed naturally, just like fine wines. You can use the reddish-brown, aromatic sauce as a table-top seasoning and for cooking. Thanks to its delicate flavour, it can be an organic part of both Eastern and European cuisine. The delicious spice can be used in many ways; you can use it to flavour dishes such as chicken, fish, beef and other meat slices, sausages, hamburgers, soups, stews, egg and pasta dishes, but it is also excellent as a barbecue sauce or salad dressing.

We recommend it for stir-fried chicken noodles.

Ingredients

40 dkg chicken breast fillet, 500 g egg Chinese noodles, 2 pcs carrots, 2 medium-sized red onions, 0.5 small head of cabbage, 1.5 tbsp fresh ginger, 1 pc Thai chilli, 2 cloves garlic. 1 tbsp thick soy sauce, 6 tbsp dark soy sauce, 0.5 dl rapeseed oil, salt to taste, freshly ground black pepper to taste, 2 tbsp sunflower oil.

Preparation

  1. Salt and pepper the chicken breast, and fry both sides on a little sunflower oil until golden brown. Then put it in the oven at 180 degrees for 12 minutes with the pan.
  2. Prepare the vegetables. Cut the carrots, the onions into thinner slices, and the cabbage into strips. Peel the ginger, then chop it with a knife, and slice the chilli pepper.
  3. When the chicken is done, slice it thinly.
  4. Put the noodles on to boil. They will be ready in about 2-3 minutes in boiling salted water.
  5. Heat the rapeseed oil in a wok on a high flame, then throw in the ginger, chilli and crushed garlic. Stir quickly, they only need to brown, do not let them burn.
  6. Add the other chopped vegetables. Fry for 2-3 minutes, then pour the oyster and soy sauce into the wok.
  7. When the sauce has mixed with the vegetables, add the sliced chicken, stir quickly, finally put the noodles in the wok, mix with the sauce, and fry for a short time.

Producer information

Kikkoman's predecessor was created by the merger of 8 family companies in 1917 in Japan. A factory was built in Goyogura Noda with the aim of preserving traditional techniques and continuing the production of soy sauce for the imperial household. The brand name is so famous in Japan that it also became the official partner of the 2021 Olympic Games.
