In the free range keeping method, the hens do not live in cages, but can move freely throughout the entire barn area and scratch. They lay their eggs in nests specially designed for this purpose. Farm Tojás Kft. started its operation in 1987 at its Bőny site, with broiler chicken fattening. They pay great attention to compliance with quality, hygiene, animal health and epidemic prevention regulations. In line with market demands, they have prioritised the development and expansion of animal-friendly - free range, free-range and organic - keeping technologies at a high level and volume. Currently, more than half of their entire laying hen stock (350,000-400,000 pieces) is already producing in free range keeping, within which the proportion of eggs produced in modern aviary keeping is increasing.
