Daniel E. Williams started working at the age of 14 at the whiskey distillery in Tullamore, and when he became plant manager, he was the first to introduce triple distillation, and D.E.W. is the abbreviation of his name. One of the world's leading Irish whiskeys, the second largest Irish whiskey brand in Europe. The story of Tullamore Dew, this legendary Irish whiskey, dates back to 1829, when the Tullamore distillery was founded in the heart of Ireland. In 1887, the distillery passed from the hands of the founding family to the Daly family, but Daniel E. Williams was entrusted with the actual management of the factory.
