Chiarli Lambrusco Rosso
1946 plantation, 70% whole-bunch processing, partly aged in new barrels. Cherry, raspberry, rose petal, light tobacco and earthy aromas in the nose. Fresh red and black berries, floral and light wine, good acids, ripe tannins, elegant finish on the palate.
Producer information
Around 1850, there was a restaurant in Modena, owned by Cleto Chiarli. As was the custom of innkeepers at the time, he also served his own wine in the osteria, made from the well-known local variety, Lambrusco, which was a great success. So much so that in 1860 Chiarli founded Emilia-Romagna's first serious winery.
