Gallicoop Sliced Turkey Bacon

Formed, quick-cured, cooked, smoked turkey ham, which is sliced and then placed in a protective gas package. The product consists of uniform slice thickness, identical width and height. The texture of the slices is flexible, the cooked meat pulp (prad) is well-processed, no tendon or connective tissue pieces larger than 2 mm can be found in it, and no air cavity larger than 5 mm is visible, at most only a few smaller ones. On its cut surface, the layers of cured turkey breast and cured turkey leg ham made from different meat parts can be seen without transition. When tasted, it comes together well even during the first bite, there is no chewing residue. In its taste and smell, in addition to the cooked meat pulp, the harmonious blend of evenly distributed spices can also be felt. Free from foreign odours and tastes.

Producer information

Gallicoop Zrt. was founded in 1989 in Szarvas. The company, which initially operated as a slaughterhouse, underwent its first significant change in 1992 during the change of ownership. The new owners expanded the slaughterhouse's core activity year by year, and the initial 1,700 tonnes of slaughter has now reached 40,000 tonnes.

In 1994, the purchase of the feed mixing plant was a significant development step that contributed to the development of integration. The production of preparations was planned from the beginning, and today Gallicoop produces 8,500 tonnes of finished products per year. The launch of the breading plant and the expansion of the ready-to-bake line were further important developments, with which they achieved a significant market share. Gallicoop produces nearly 8,000 tonnes of the 20-25,000 tonnes of breaded products made in Hungary.

In 2020, the entire share package of Gallicoop Zrt. was purchased by three domestic private equity funds - Takarék, Béta and Status Food Private Equity Fund - opening a new chapter in development and domestic and foreign market growth. The company currently employs 1,100 people and provides a livelihood for an additional 1,000 people through its integrated producers.

Storage

Store at a temperature between 0 – (+5) ºC, in unopened packaging.
After opening, store in the refrigerator and consume within 24 hours.
